How does
it work?

Hivers collectively decide what major projects they work on and design the best teams to achieve objectives they set. These projects could be artworks, IOT, social innovation services, games… By the end of the expedition, the prototypes must be documented and testable.

In the meantime, Hivers will be asked to contribute to other campers’ issues, ranging from exchanging ideas to prototyping.
Hivers acquire a network and competences for their own projects. thecamp can also help them realize these projects!

02.

With what
resources?

Hive workspace with computers, softwares, Arduino, machines and free access to the Fablab.
A dedicated team designs and facilitates the Hive residency, as well as mentors identified jointly who will be there at every stage of the projects. 
A production budget will be allocated to each project, for which the team will be accountable.

03.

What happens
after the residency?

If a project has true potential, Hivers have different options:

stay at thecamp to develop it further,
- be incubated in thecamp’s Accelerator,
- test their project on the field and within thecamp’s Lab.

Hivers belong to thecamp’s community for life!

Duration and avaibility

2 sessions per year.
6 months : 2 days off per week and 2-week holiday breaks during each session.

 

Funding

Housing in a 14 sq. m. room with private bathroom, food and laundry during the entire residency. 
Access to the restaurant, the bar, sports amenities and free activities every day. 
€600 fellowship / month.

Skills and age

Technical skills in the field(s) of arts, design, makery, engineering, coding, innovation management.
You don’t need a degree – self-taught candidates welcome!
No age limit.
