Getting to thecamp
ACCESS & PARKING
thecamp is located 10 mins from the Aix-en-Provence TGV station and 20 mins from Marseille-Provence Airport (Marignane).
We encourage you to car-pool and use public transportation whenever possible! Here are a few options to get to thecamp.
There are several bus lines arriving at thecamp. The stop is called “Descartes”. You can buy a single-trip ticket but there are various other options available, such as daily, weekly or monthly passes.
• From Aix-en-Provence city-center: lines 18 (schedule) or 15 (schedule)
• From Marseille Saint-Charles train station: line 53 (schedule)
• From Aix-en-Provence TGV station: line 211 (schedule)
• From Paris: take the TGV (high-speed train) from Paris to the Aix-en-Provence TGV station. It is about a 3-hour trip. Most trains leave from the Paris Gare de Lyon station.
• From Marseille: take the train from Marseille Saint-Charles to Aix-en-Provence TGV station. Trains leave every hour. It’s a 10-minute ride.

• Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle or Paris-Orly (and then take the train)
• Marseille-Provence (Marignane)
From the airport or train station
We’re currently working on an electric and autonomous shuttle for rides between the train station and thecamp. It should be available very soon! In the meantime, here are some options:

Parking at thecamp
There is an outdoor parking area at the entrance, on the right, for 100 vehicles. It is fenced, but not guarded.
We encourage you to car-pool to get here!
Please always register at the reception desk upon arrival.
Open during the week and closed from noon Saturday, to 4pm Sunday.
A night porter is on duty.
For overnight stays:
Check-in from 3pm onwards.
Check-out before 10am.
thecamp has 145 rooms—129 individual rooms and 16 suites—to accommodate its Campers.
On the edge of the pine forest in a setting typical of Provence, the 15- sq.m. monastic-inspired single rooms feature a double bed, shower room and work space. Access to each room is via open and pleasant walkways conducive to chance encounters.
Hair dryers and clothes irons are available at the reception desk, where a baggage room is also available for your use.
thecamp does not offer room service.
thecamp has a two-story restaurant (one of which can be privatized) giving onto a 1000-sq.m. terrace and a bar at the heart of the campus.
As a base camp exploring an exciting, human and sustainable future, we're testing out ways to feed ourselves with as little impact as possible on the planet. Cutting meat and fish is a very concrete and actionable way of minimizing carbon-footprint, while making sure meals are balanced, appealing and tasty!

Please note it's usually not open to the general public and only registered Campers can access the restaurant.
On weekends, if the restaurant is closed, meals are served in the bar.

WHAT TO BRING
Leave your suit at home :). Make sure you bring comfortable, casual clothes and shoes, and something warm for the evenings––it can get chilly here. If you want to enjoy the sports facilities, don’t forget your sneakers, tracksuit, swimming gear and beach towel (depending on the season).
