Matali Crasset is one of France's major designers. Throughout her life and work, she always questioned the codes governing our daily life to learn better free oneself of them and experiment – a methodology definitely in line with thecamp's collaborative residency. Involved with Hive since the very beginning in many ways, she answers a few questions!
– What's the collaborative residency Hive?
Hive is an opening up to the world, a platform for exchanges and encounters for doing together. It’s also an environment that encourages experimentation and pooling, a total immersion that allows people to take time out, change their way of thinking and devise new approaches.
– Why take part in the Hive program?
To become inter-generational and inter-professional!
– What does the program bring you as a mentor and now sponsor?
For me, it’s the chance to practice a different method of passing things on, to discuss new issues and use the project for learning how to do.
